About the Film:

Alex, a six-year-old boy from Quebec, is much too young to understand why thousands of refugees have been entering Canada illegally. Yet when his father takes him along to a vigilante patrol in the woods to hunt out trespassing migrants, something inside him tells him to rebel.

Director Biography – Pier-Philippe Chevigny:

Pier-Philippe Chevigny is a young filmmaker from Montreal, Quebec. For the past few years, his short films have received international attention, with TALA, VETERANE, and REBEL being selected in numerous world-class festivals including TIFF, Busan, Regard, Namur, Winterthur, and Mecal Pro Barcelona. In 2020, his first feature-length film project RICHELIEU was selected at the prestigious Berlinale Co-Production Market. The project has since been greenlit by the SODEC film fund in Quebec and is aiming to begin production in 2021. In the meantime, Pier-Philippe has begun developing a second feature: Arsenal, shortlisted to the SFFILM Rainin Grant.
