About the Film:

Vera wakes up in a small boat, stranded in an unknown world. As she steps out of the boat, a child’s cry for help starts echoing, non-stop, awaking a horrible monster inside Vera. She runs for her life, but in the end there’s no escape but to fight this monster.

Director Biography – Edson da Conceicao:

Edson graduated from the Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam in 2008. Afterwards, he worked for seven years on different short films, features and commercials as a freelance assistant director, camera operator and editor. In 2015 Edson was accepted to the Netherlands Film Academy where he worked on different projects such as his third year film ‘Eindhalte’ (2018), which was selected for Shortcutz and Go Short. Edson also worked on ‘Save Haven’ (2019) that was also selected for Shortcutz and recently got screend at CineKid. He graduated the Netherlands Film Academy in 2019 with two films: Porfotto, and Mania.

The Best Film of the Month has the Official Selection to Golden Eagles AWARDS and guaranteed screening in the cinema.The rest films for the live screening jury will select from all Winners during a year. We will present the full list of selected films until the Notification Date.
